About Anne-Marie Smith
- 1991 - attended Harris Institute for the Arts majoring in Producing/Engineering and worked freelance both in live sound and studio engineering.
- 1992 - interned at I.R.S. Records whose roster at the time included Fine Young Cannibals, Stuart Copeland, and the Infidels.
- 1992 - hired by Warner/Chappell Music Publishing Canada in a newly created position, and spearheaded the development of the publicity/promotions department.
- 1994 - promoted to Creative Manager at Warner/Chappell and helped develop songwriters and artists such as Glenn Lewis, Kardinal Offishall, Jully Black & Saukrates.
- 2003 - joined as President of Capitol Hill Music and negotiated a worldwide distribution deal with Sony/BMG. Artist roster included Big Black Lincoln and Andreena Mill.
- 2004 - joined the Harris Institute faculty and created a new curriculum for the ‘Confidential Records: How to Develop A Record Label and Publishing Company’ program.
- 2004-6 - elected to the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) Board of Directors and the Canadian Independent Recording and Production Association Board (CIRPA).
- 2007 - hired by Clear Lake Historical Productions as Associate Producer supervising budget management and synchronization clearances.
- 2011 - currently oversees Confidential Records and the Contracts & Negotiations program at Harris Institute.
